Welcome to Clandon Park Nursery !
At Clandon Park we are proud to provide a “Child’s World” where children’s learning, development and happiness is at the centre of all we do. We operate a home from home nursery environment.
We adhere to our registration on the Ofsted Early Years Register. This monitors the overall quality standards of the early years provision in line with the principles and requirements of the ‘Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
About Us
We are a brand new and exciting day care facility with extremely well trained staff who act as inspiring early educators for up to 40 children between 6 months and 5 years. It is set in the fantastic countryside grounds at Clandon Park, opposite Edwins garden centre close to the Clandon and Guildford mainline stations, Guildford Park and Ride facilities and walking distance to the Local Clandon Primary school.
The setting opens at 8am to 5pm (until 6pm for later collections) Monday to Friday all year, except weekends, public holidays, the week between Christmas and New Year. However, on some weekends and public holidays we will be offering for additional charges a range of exciting soft play sessions, art and crafts and sensory play activities. There may even be the chance of offering excursions as well, such as to the beach!
The setting was founded by husband and wife team Matthew and Beverley Boyd, who is the Director and Manager of the nursery. The setting is based in a lovely timber building with a large and spacious outdoor play area. It has a separate room for our little ones that need the security of a ‘home from home,’ environment while they settle into nursery life. This roo is for the under 2’s called ‘Sleeping Bunnies,’ and two further wonderful and well thought out spaces for children from two to five years old, called ‘Little Foxes,’ and ‘Bonnie Badgers.’ These spaces are designed to inspire children’s learning and encourage them to explore their surroundings and become independent and creative thinkers!
We aim to develop the full potential of each child. We are proud of our academic record, social interactions, and our reputation for a friendly and homely environment.
The setting is very aware of the individual needs of all children. They recognise that children learn in different ways, activities and routines are adapted to ensure children feel valued and can take responsibility for their own play and learning. We ensure that all our children benefit from varied and well-directed child led and adult led early learning opportunities through their involvement in a wide range of practical and educational activities.

Partnership with Parent is key!
No one knows your child better than you, so our partnership with parents is integral to our way of working. We hold termly parents’ meetings ensuring you have the time to discuss your child’s individual needs and progress with their appointed key person. However, our ‘open-door’ policy means that parents are welcome to come and speak to us at any time. We promote home learning and encourage parents to participate and contribute to their child’s development through sharing information daily.
